DIU drones attacked Lukoil's oil refinery on the night of May 11: details become known
On the night of May 11, drones of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine attacked the Volgograd Oil Refinery in Russia. As a result, primary oil refining units and other equipment were damaged.
This was reported to OBOZ.UA by Ukrainian intelligence sources. According to the source, the attack was carried out at 3:45 am.
As a result of the UAV raid, the primary oil processing units AVT-1 and AVT-6 were damaged. The current condition of the units is being checked.
According to the source, the control cable for air coolers was also damaged, which resulted in the shutdown of seven coolers and the chimney of the P-1 furnace.
It is known that the Volgograd refinery belongs to Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka.
It should be noted that the Russian Defense Ministry stated that seven drones were allegedly shot down over Volgograd and Kursk regions at night. Air defense systems were heard in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, in the evening of May 11, an explosion occurred in the occupied Rovenky, Luhansk region, after which a strong fire broke out. The leader of the "LPR" Leonid Pasichnyk confirmed the attack on the oil depot, and footage of the aftermath of the "cotton" was posted online.
