Discussed the advancement of the AFU and Ukraine's need for weapons: Zaluzhny had a telephone conversation with General Milley

On 28 June, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, held talks with the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley. The generals discussed the situation on the frontline in Ukraine.
This was reported on the official channel of Zaluzhny in Telegram. The Ukrainian military commander told his colleague that the Defense Forces of our state managed to intercept the strategic initiative at the frontline.
The Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive actions and have an advance. At the same time, according to Zaluzhny, the Russian occupation troops put up strong resistance and suffer heavy losses.
The enemy is trying to hold their positions through continuous mining of the terrain.
The AFU commander-in-chief also noted that he told Milley about the Ukrainian army's current needs for weapons, ammunition and demining equipment.
"At the same time I thanked for the military assistance package, which the U.S. announced the day before. We agreed to stay in touch and coordinate actions for the de-occupation of Ukrainian territory. Together to victory!," the message reads.
It should be noted that the General Staff summary on June 28 reported that during the day there were about 20 combat clashes on the front lines. The Ukrainian defense forces repulsed attacks by the Russian occupants in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtar directions.
At the same time, the commander of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Tavria" Oleksandr Tarnavsky reported that the advance of the Defense Forces in the Tavria direction continues. Ukrainian defenders have partial successes, the enemy is retreating in places, and our soldiers are leveling the front.
Valery Markus, a serviceman of the AFU, said that our defenders are advancing on the front as a result of successful assaults. According to him, the occupiers have built a dense defense, so every meter of native land is difficult for the fighters.
Markus noted that the invaders suffer huge losses and the trenches are literally filled with the corpses of the Russians.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, Defense Minister Oleksy Reznikov stated that Ukraine has not yet engaged its main troop reserves in counteroffensive actions, including the majority of brigades trained in Western countries and equipped with modern NATO tanks and armored vehicles. In addition, not all the successes of the Defense Forces have been made public.
