Didn't stay for long: AFU destroys Russian flags on Avdiivka's slag heap with a drone. Video
The Russian occupation forces, which continue to try to capture Avdiivka in the Donetsk region, have installed their flags on Avdiivka's slag heap, which is located next to the Avdiivka Coke Plant. However, they did not stay there for long as the enemy flags were destroyed by Ukrainian soldiers with a drone.
Serhiy Sternenko posted the relevant footage on his Telegram (scroll to the bottom of the page to watch the video). He noted that the enemy flags were taken down by a Shadow unit.
"The slag heap is now in a gray zone. The occupants are on the outskirts of it, but cannot gain a foothold. As soon as they try, they die. They installed the rags and fled," Sternenko wrote.
The footage he posted shows a Ukrainian drone removing the flags of Russia and the 114th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces.
As of the evening of October 23, the Avdiivka slag heap was partially in the gray zone. However, on October 24, DeepState analysts published a new map showing the hill as Russian-held territory.
"Information Resistance analysts report the deployment of the 21st, 15th, and 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade Combat Teams in the area. The latter, by the way, was supposed to be heading south. There is no reason not to trust this data," they said.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the Avdiivka direction with the support of aviation, our defenders repelled 6 attacks.
The network also showed what Avdiivka looks like now. Today, there is not a single intact building in the settlement, but about 1,600 civilians remain in the city.
