Defense Forces halted dozens of Russian attacks in Pokrovsk direction overnight: General Staff reports on the situation at the front. Map

Over 120 combat engagements took place at the fron on February 7, with Pokrovsk sector remaining the hottest as Ukrainian troops repelled as many as three dozen enemy attacks there.

Almost the same number of Russian assaults were recorded in the Kursk region the day before. General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine described the situation in the morning operational report.

According to the General Staff, 123 combat engagements took place along the front line yesterday.

"Yesterday, the enemy launched 106 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, dropping 169 guided bombs and using 2,170 kamikaze drones. In addition, it carried out more than 5,300 shellings, 127 of which with the use of multiple rocket launchers," the General Staff stated.

The areas of Pysarivka, Ploske, Basivka, Petropavlivka, Zelenyi Hai, Pishchane, Siversk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Oleksandropil, Katerynivka, Rozlyv, Novosilka, Novodarivka and Huliaipole were under constant enemy aircraft fire over the past day.

Meanwhile, the aviation, missile and artillery troops of the Defense Forces hit 20 areas of concentration of Russian personnel and equipment, an air defense system and one artillery system over the day.

In the Kharkiv sector, our troops repelled an enemy attacknear Vovchansk.

Ten enemy attacks took place in the Kupiansk sector yesterday. Ukrainian defense forces repelled the assault near Zahryzove and Lozova.

The enemy attacked AFU in the Lyman sector 13 times. They tried to advance near Kopanky, Novoiehorivka, Novoliubivka and Yampolivka.

In the Siversk sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions near Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamianske 13 times.

Three assaults were reported in the Kramatorsk sector near Chasiv Yar and Predtechyne.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out ten attacks in the Toretsk area.

In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 30 enemy assaults in the areas of Zelene Pole, Tarasivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Novooleksandrivka, Nadiivka, Andriivka and Dachne.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the occupants attacked the positions of our troops nine times, trying to break through in the direction of Kostiantynopil.

In Kursk region, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 28 attacks by Russian invaders over the past day. In addition, the enemy launched 61 air strikes using 89 guided bombs, and also shelled the positions of our troops and settlements 404 times using artillery, 20 of which from MLRS.

In the Huliaipole, Orikhiv and Prydniprovskyi sectors, the enemy did not conduct any assault operations yesterday.

No signs of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya.

The enemy is also actively shelling the border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions with artillery, aircraft and attack drones.

"Our soldiers inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and actively undermine the enemy's offensive potential in the rear," the General Staff summarized.

Earlier, it was reported that the Russian invaders' losses amounted to 1,210 people the day before. Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed six tanks, 22 armored combat vehicles, 35 artillery systems, two MLRSs, 102 tactical UAVs and 95 vehicles of various types.
