Defence forces advance in all areas of the offensive, fighting continues - Ministry of Defence

Today, the offensive and defensive actions are ongoing in various directions. At the same time, the enemy is doing its best to prevent the advance of our troops.

This was reported by Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Hanna Maliar. In the east, the enemy continues to concentrate a significant amount of forces and means and is pulling up reserves in other areas.

According to Maliar, an enemy unit of airborne assault troops was moved from the south to the east.

According to the Deputy Minister of Defence, offensive actions in the Bakhmut sector continue in the areas of Rozdolivka - Krasnopillivka and Berkhivka - Yahidne, with success. Offensives continue in the Berdiansk and Mariupol sectors. There is progress in all areas of the offensive. About a kilometre in each direction.

"In the Berdiansk sector, fighting continues in the vicinity of Makarivka. In the Mariupol sector, fighting continues in the vicinity of Novodanylivka and Novopokrovka," said Maliar.

According to her, the enemy increased the number of missile and air strikes, artillery and mortar attacks over the last day.

"Our troops are facing strong enemy resistance and their superiority in terms of numbers and weapons. The enemy is doing its best to prevent the advance of our troops. At the same time, the offensive continues on several fronts, our defenders are gradually but surely advancing and inflicting significant losses on the enemy," added Hanna Maliar.

The day before, Maliar said that the Ukrainian Defence Forces were continuing their offensive and had partial successes in several areas. In particular, Ukrainian troops advanced several hundred metres in the Bakhmut and Zaporizhzhia sectors the day before.

Fierce fighting continues in the Berdiansk and Mariupol sectors, and the enemy is suffering losses in manpower, equipment and weapons.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine called for understanding of the delay in information about the events at the front. They noted that the pause provides an opportunity to study the enemy's reaction and then take advantage of it during the offensive.
