AFU is trying to expand a bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnipro: Humeniuk reveals details
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to consolidate their positions on the left bank of the Kherson region and are trying to expand their foothold. At the same time, the occupation forces have intensified attacks on our positions with various types of drones.
This was stated by the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Natalia Humeniuk. On January 2, she commented on the situation at the front, speaking on the air of the United News TV marathon.
"Our troops continue to consolidate and try to expand the bridgehead. This is extremely difficult work because it is done in the conditions of constant shelling and aviation activity, even if it is 'intimidated' by our previous successes," Humeniuk said.
The Russian invaders are organizing numerous assaults. In addition, they have begun to use drones more actively. For example, on January 2, they launched 15 FPV drones and various modifications of UAVs and dropped fragmented ammunition from drones.
"That is, realizing that the use of aviation is very risky, they are trying to put pressure from the air in this way," a representative of the South military command said.
