Later, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, admitted that it was the target of the attack.
It happened around one in the morning, and a fire broke out. Local publics also shared a video of the alleged strike.
It was reported that a UAV could have reached Grozny. Preliminary, there were several sounds of explosions.
Propaganda Telegram channels later claimed that the situation was under control and there were no casualties or injuries. They said that "only minor damage to the building was recorded, and the fire was extinguished."
A short time later, Ramzan Kadyrov wrote that a drone had allegedly been shot down over the barracks of the special police regiment named after the hero of Russia, A.A. Kadyrov, of the Interior Ministry for the Chechen Republic. According to him, no one was seriously injured, and four members of the guard were slightly wounded.
"The personnel on duty were in rooms protected from such attacks at the time. The UAV that detonated in the air damaged the roof and smashed the windows. The falling fragments caused a small fire, which was quickly extinguished. The building did not suffer any serious damage," Putin's aide said.
