Occupants attacked Odesa with Shahed drones

On the night of Saturday, March 2, the Russian army attacked Odesa with Shahed drones once again. The occupiers hit a residential multi-storey building, completely destroying one entrance. Eight locals were injured, including a 3-year-old child and a pregnant woman.

As of 7:00 a.m. on March 2, two dead people were found under the rubble, and eight more residents are being searched for. The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, spoke about the consequences of the Russian criminal attack on his Telegram channel. The explosions in the city occurred around 1 a.m.

The Ukrainian Air Force warned that enemy drones are attacking Odesa and the region from the Black Sea from several directions.

According to Kiper, the Russian attack damaged residential multi-storey buildings in Odesa. Seven people were injured, including a 3-year-old child. Later, one dead person was found under the rubble.

A pregnant woman is also among the wounded.

According to the head of the RMA, a 3-year-old child suffered abrasions to the leg, and is now under medical supervision. Six adults are preliminarily in moderate condition.

"Specialists continue to work at the site. The rubble is being cleared, there may be people under it," Kiper said.

Mayor of Odesa Hennadii Trukhanov said that a part of one of the buildings in a densely populated area of the city collapsed as a result of a Shahed hit. The injured are being provided with medical aid.

"Another terrorist attack on a peacefully sleeping city. A densely populated area. It's just horrible here. Rescuers, as well as municipal and emergency services are working at the scene. The rubble is being cleared," the mayor of Odesa said.

In addition, utility networks and a boiler room were damaged, and nearby houses were cut off from heating.

As of 5 a.m., rescue efforts are ongoing, and there may be people under the rubble, Kiper wrote.

Among the injured is a pregnant woman, she is in moderate condition in the hospital. Three more people with numerous injuries were also hospitalized, including a 26-year-old woman in serious condition, and two others in moderate condition.
