The German and Scottish national teams opened the 17th European Football Championship on Friday, June 14. The teams played a highly productive match at the Allianz Arena stadium in Munich, where the tournament hosts proved to be stronger, defeating their opponents with a score of 5-1.

Already in the first match of the tournament, the organizers failed to fulfill their duties. They allowed some fans to hang flags of the Russian terrorist state in the arena, even though the team was suspended from international tournaments because of Russia's war against Ukraine.

In particular, one of the flags bore the inscription "Belgorod". Russian propagandists were particularly happy about this action, admiring the alleged courage of the fans but still hiding their faces.

"We, Russians, look at this foreign celebration of life with our childhood emotions, with memories of the wonderful years when our national team was a joy to watch. But, to put it mildly, we are a little bit out of it now. The happiness is that we are there, we cannot be silenced, removed, or covered up. And the Russian flags with the names of the border regions, I'm sure, were secretly brought to the stands of the beautiful arena or made clear to the local security that they were nothing more than Serbian flags," the Sovetsky Sport newspaper wrote.
