Ukrainian athlete who was wounded in a Russian missile attack dies in Kyiv
Ukrainian powerlifting athlete Mykhailo Donskoy became a victim of a Russian missile attack on Kyiv on January 23. The man was not only engaged in strength training and fitness but was also an avid football fan and often visited the base of the capital's Lokomotiv team, which was damaged by the attack.
The railroaders announced this on their Facebook page. The club of the second league of the Ukrainian championship noted that Donskoy was in a coma, and doctors were unable to save the man. Mykhailo was one of 21 victims of another war crime committed by the Russian terrorist state.
"Mikhail, according to his friends, was a former powerlifting athlete. He and his family were regular visitors to Lokomotiv and football fans. Russia continues to cynically take the lives of peaceful Ukrainians and civilians in front of the whole world. As a reminder, on January 23, Russian occupants launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. Kharkiv suffered the most, with 11 people killed.
