"This is just the beginning": Danilov comments on raids by Russian volunteers in the Belgorod region

Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov commented on the raids by Russian volunteers in the Belgorod region. According to him, this is just the beginning, and the situation will only get worse.

Danilov said this in an interview with Radio Liberty. He sarcastically reacted to the information of the Russian Volunteer Corps, which claims that fighting is currently taking place in the suburb of Shebekino, asking: "What happened?"

According to the NSDC Secretary, this is not the first time that Russians have taken up arms to defend their country.

"And we are getting used to it, we are getting used to the situation that was associated with the Russians. I have repeatedly stressed that they have the right. Why not? Why should we be the only ones to suffer? I don't know what they were "liberating" us from, but I understand exactly what those Russians who are currently fighting on the territory of the Russian Federation will be liberating us from. And I am more than sure that this is just the beginning. It will continue," he said.

Danilov predicts that similar events will take place not only in Belgorod.

"You can see what's happening there. They start flying drones around Moscow on their own, or do something else. It's a strange country! What can I say?" - he added.

In addition, according to him, the process of fragmentation of Russia has already begun, and its active part began on 24 February 2022.

"When these madmen decided that they needed to attack our country. So I emphasise once again, nothing surprising is happening. We will see such things every time. It is only a matter of time," the NSDC Secretary explained.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the terrorist country of Russia claimed that a battle was allegedly taking place on the border with the Belgorod region. The Russians complained that "saboteurs" had attacked the Shebekino checkpoint with tanks.

In the Belgorod region of Russia, on the night of 1 June, local residents again complained of powerful explosions. Russians panicked and posted videos of "cotton" online, while the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, claimed that "air defence systems were working".
