Russian media dispels information about Oleksandr Syrskyi's family ties

Much is known about the new commander-in-chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, under whose leadership Ukrainian soldiers will continue to fight against the aggressor, as a military man. However, almost nothing is known about his family. At the same time, the thesis that Syrskyi is a "real Russian" is being actively spread in Russia, as his parents and brother live there.

According to official information, Oleksandr Syrskyi was born in the village of Novyky, Vladimir Oblast, Russia, which was then the Russian Soviet Republic. He studied in Moscow and then moved to Ukraine, and most of his life is connected with Ukraine and his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

However, according to the Russian media, the new chief of the Armed Forces is still connected to Russia not only by his place of birth but also by the fact that his relatives continue to live in Russia. His parents, Lyudmyla and Stanislav Syrskyi, as well as his brother Oleh, live in the city of Vladimir, which is less than 200 kilometers from Moscow.

According to propagandists, the 84-year-old father and 82-year-old mother are now retired. Stanislav Syrskyi is a retired colonel in the Russian army.

Now they spend most of their time at the dacha. Liudmyla Syrska sings in a vocal group of veteran teachers.

Russian publics also spread information that the parents of the commander-in-chief were active on social media before the full-scale Russian invasion, posting "patriotic posts". Among the publics to which Liudmyla Syrska subscribes is one called "I love you, Russia". Together with her husband, she participated in the actions of the "Immortal Regiment" and both are "proud of their past".

According to Z-public, Syrskyi's parents hide their relationship with the Ukrainian military and do not discuss his career. They say that they "learned about their son's appointment to the post of chief of the Armed Forces from the news" and complain about the "wave of hate" after the fact of their relationship came to light.

Neighbors of the Syrskyi family who live in Volodymyr said that the parents never talk about their son.

"It is not known whether the new head of the Armed Forces is communicating with the family now or has completely forgotten about them," Russian propagandists say.

There is also information in the Russian media about the commander-in-chief's brother, Oleh Syrskyi. He lives with his parents in Vladimir and works as a security guard. In 2013, he was convicted for a fake report of a bomb threat in a shopping center in Vladimir.

According to the Russian media, Oleh Syrskyi got drunk, quarreled with a security guard at a shopping center, and reported a "bomb" in revenge.

Now he works as a security guard himself and confesses his love for Russia on social media.

Following Russian publics, Ukrainians also began to write on social media about the Russian relatives of the chief commander and call him almost an enemy.

But if this is the case, it would mean that during the entire period of the full-scale war, the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was commanded by the enemy, who was subordinate to the "iron general" Valeriy Zaluzhnyi.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

The day before, on February 8, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi. In his place, the head of state appointed Syrskyi, and he also announced large-scale changes in leadership positions in the army.

Later, it became known what tasks Zelenskyy had set for Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi.

On February 9, the "iron general" Zaluzhnyi was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine. And his successor as commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces made his first statement after his appointment.
