Russian occupants blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant on Tuesday night, resulting in flooding of a number of settlements. Swans are already swimming in Nova Kakhovka due to flooding.

In particular, birds near the Palace of Culture. The corresponding video was published in social networks. (to see it, please scroll to the end of the page)

The water level after the Russian occupants blew up a dam located 5 km from Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, is beginning to rise gradually. The territories of both the right, de-occupied bank of the Kherson region, and the left bank of the Kherson region are under threat.

Preferably the left one, because this bank is lower. As of this morning, the water had already risen by 1.5 meters, but it is not specified in which city.

It should be noted that as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, dozens of settlements in the south of Ukraine are at risk of flooding, and the evacuation of people from the supposedly flooded area has already been initiated. According to the Kherson OV, 16 thousand civilians are in the risk zone on the right-bank part of the region. How the fact that thousands of people were forced to leave their homes as a result of the occupants' actions correlates with the goals of "poverty eradication" and "sustainable cities and towns" - the UN has not yet given any thought.

The evacuation of the population in the settlements of Kherson, which fall into the flood zone, has been announced. The water level in the Kakhovka reservoir downstream is rising, and in a few hours it may reach a critical level.

According to Ukrenergo, the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant is completely destroyed and cannot be restored. They warned about the threat to ZNPP, because water from the Kakhovka reservoir was used to cool the reactors. Currently, the water level in the reservoir is rapidly decreasing.
