Ukrainian Armed Forces advance in two directions in Bakhmut suburbs: active fighting continues - Maliar

The Ukrainian armed forces are advancing in two directions in the suburbs of Bakhmut. Active fighting is currently taking place between Ukrainian defenders and Russian invaders.

Putin's army is suffering significant losses. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Defence Anna Maliar.

"The situation is developing dynamically in the epicentre of the fighting in the Bakhmut sector. Our troops are gradually advancing in two directions in the suburbs of Bakhmut," the statement said.

According to Maliar, there will be no correct figures now because active hostilities are underway.

"Our troops are destroying the enemy and have already taken many prisoners. However, the situation in the city is more complicated. However, thanks to the competent planning of the command and the courage of our fighters, the enemy is not able to take control of the city," she added.

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian Defence Forces have made progress during localised counterattacks northwest of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. A video showed the occupiers fleeing, trying to escape from Ukrainian artillery fire, on the southern shore of the Berkhovske Reservoir, about 4 km from the city.
