The sign for driving school vehicles to be changed in Ukraine starting from May 4: what will be used instead of usual У

Starting May 4, a new sign for cars used by driver candidates for practical training and exams will come into effect in Ukraine. It will be changed from У to H.

These changes were announced by the press service of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, according to Ukrinform. This innovation was approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 128 of October 27, 2023, and has already come into force.

The term Учбовий is being changed to Навчальний too. According to these amendments, vehicles of driving schools intended for practical training, retraining, advanced training and examinations must bear the H marking.

This also applies to vehicles of the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers, where driver candidates test their practical driving skills.

As previously reported, a new fine for violating traffic rules may be introduced in Ukraine. The penalty is going to be imposed for exceeding the permissible noise level by vehicles, which is especially common among motorcyclists. The fine is expected to be set at UAH 17,000. For a repeated violation, you will have to pay UAH 34,000.

Earlier, it was reported that sales of new passenger cars in Ukraine have increased significantly. Over the year - from January 2023 to January 2024 - the number of transactions increased by 47%.
