Russian troops conduct unsuccessful offensive in the Kharkiv region and Donbas: Defence Forces repelled 19 enemy attacks - General Staff

The Russian occupation forces are conducting unsuccessful offensives in the Kharkiv region and are also focusing their main efforts on attempts to fully occupy the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Ukrainian defenders are holding back the enemy, repelling numerous attacks by the occupiers and inflicting heavy losses on Putin's army.

This was reported in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Over the course of the day in Donbas, the Defence Forces repelled 19 enemy attacks.

The situation has not changed in the Volyn and Polissya sectors, and there are no signs of offensive groups forming.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi sectors, Russian occupants maintain military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. Over the last day, the enemy fired mortar and artillery shells at Berylivka, Mistky and Tymonovychi in the Chernihiv region, Atynske, Pavlivka, Pysarivka, Uhroids, Krasnopillia, Slavgorod in the Sumy region, as well as Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Oshcherchan Vovcha, Varvarovka, Budarky, Chuhunivka in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the invaders conducted unsuccessful offensives west of Masiutivka in Kharkiv region. They carried out air strikes in the areas of Vilshana, Kotlyarivka, Krokhmalne in the Kharkiv region and Serhiivka in the Luhansk region. Artillery and mortar attacks by the enemy targeted Figolovka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Masiutivka, Lyman Pervomaisky, Kyslivka, Berestova in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivska in the Luhansk region.

In the Lyman sector, Putin's army tried to advance in the area of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Sporne, Donetsk region. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Yampolivka, Siversk, and Sporne in the Donetsk region. Nevske and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Novosadove, Torske, Spyrne, Mykolaivka in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Khromove and Bila Gora in the Donetsk region over the last day. Kramatorsk, Vasyukivka, Orikhove-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Predtechine, Bila Gora, Diliyivka, Zalizne and New York in the Donetsk region suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

Russian occupants did not conduct any offensive in the Avdiivka sector. At the same time, the enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Avdiivka and Vodiane in the Donetsk region. The occupants also fired artillery at the settlements of Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske and Karlivka in Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka sector, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks near the town of Maryinka. The enemy also launched an air strike there, and Georgiivka, Maryinka, Peremoha and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, the Russian occupiers carried out air strikes near Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region, and also fired on the settlements of Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Novoukrainka.

The enemy continues to conduct defensive operations in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson sectors. The occupiers carried out air strikes in the areas of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region and Beryslav, Kozatske, and Odradokamyanka in the Kherson region. The enemy also fired on Illinka, Velyka Novosilka, Cheremkhivka, Zelene Pole in Donetsk Oblast; Malynivka, Gulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Gulyaypilske, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Zmiivka, Vesele, Ivanivka, Ingulets, Antonivka, Zelenivka, Dniprovske, Kyzomys in Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson.

At the same time, Russian occupation forces continue to suffer heavy losses on the battlefield. In this regard, the Russian military continues to equip civilian institutions in the temporarily occupied territories as medical facilities. For example, in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, the occupiers converted a children's sanatorium into a military hospital, where more than 200 occupants with injuries of varying severity are being treated. Russian terrorists, in violation of international humanitarian law, have also set up a base of Russian military personnel and military equipment on the territory of the Melitopol Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

At the same time, the aviation of the Defence Forces carried out 9 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment, as well as 2 on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

In addition, missile and artillery units struck 1 command post, 1 anti-aircraft missile system, 5 artillery units at firing positions, and 9 areas where enemy weapons and military equipment were concentrated.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the day before, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Hanna Maliar also noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had suspended their flank advance in the Bakhmut sector to perform other tasks. According to her, the occupiers went on the defensive there and increased the number of attacks.
