Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the private military company Vagner, spoke out about a "sabotage and reconnaissance group" foray into the territory of a Russian terrorist country. He also floated the idea of "exchanging" Belgorod for Crimea.

He made this statement during a meeting with the mercenaries. The corresponding video appeared in social networks. (to see the video, scroll to the end of the page).

"What is sent now "sabotage and reconnaissance group" normal army structure. We actually discussed yesterday and thought that they would get a foothold, it's strange that they didn't get a foothold. If we had gone, we would have consolidated and pulled up the reserves," Prigozhin said.

He also "advised" Ukrainian defenders to seize Belgorod and exchange it for Crimea temporarily occupied by Russia.

"And they would just start taking away piece by piece, within a week they would reach Belgorod, then they would start blockading it ... if we were doing that, they would start tearing apart Belgorod ... and after that they would ask the question, 'Do you want to give away Crimea? - the PMC founder added.

As a reminder, on May 23, Russia announced a new attack of "saboteurs" on the Belgorod region, and a few hours later reported on the "defeat of the nationalists." According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia intends to move additional troops from the frontline there.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the events in the Belgorod region caused "great concern".

Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of the Belgorod region failed to defend the region, on which he spent almost 10 billion rubles. The equipment of Russian volunteers entered unhindered along the Kozinka-Belgorod highway.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, the GUR pointed out Moscow's lies about the fighting in the Belgorod region. On the part of the Russian authorities, there is panic, chaos and uncertainty in the region, while the local population is sympathetic to Russian volunteers. And Moscow's statements about alleged "great losses" among the "nationalists" are a propaganda fake.
