Prime Minister of Bulgaria arrived in Ukraine

On the morning of February 26, Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov arrived in Kyiv on an official visit. Bulgarian Defense Minister Emil Yeftimov also arrived in Ukraine along with the prime minister.

The program of the Bulgarian delegation in Ukraine is not disclosed for security reasons. This was reported by BNT News.

In addition to the prime minister, the Bulgarian delegation also included the ministers of justice, environment and energy, Atanas Slavov, Yulian Popov and Rumen Radev, deputy ministers of defense and foreign affairs, Stanimir Georgiev and Tikhomir Stoychev, and the head of the defense ministry, Admiral Emil Eftimov.

The press service of the Bulgarian government said that Denkov's visit to the Ukrainian capital is intended to emphasize that the Bulgarian government stands firmly on the side of justice and will continue to defend Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

On the eve of his visit to Kyiv, the Bulgarian prime minister said that his country supports the Ukrainian formula for a just, comprehensive and lasting peace based on the principles of the UN Charter and international law.

Earlier, Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov emphasized that Ukraine is fighting not only for its independence and territorial integrity, but also for Europe. Peace in Ukraine after the war with Russia must be just and based on the international order.

As a reminder, Bulgaria donated a hundred armored personnel carriers to Ukraine by decision of the National Assembly. According to the agreement, the Ukrainian side will be provided with armored vehicles with existing weapons, as well as spare parts for their maintenance, which are no longer needed by the Bulgarian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
