Andrii Sybiha leaves the OSCE plenary hall before Lavrov's speech

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha left the OSCE plenary hall before Russian Minister Sergei Lavrov's speech. Before that, at the end of his speech, he called Lavrov a war criminal.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. Sybiha was followed by other ministers and diplomats who left the hall.

In particular, a video released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shows him being followed by Polish and Czech Foreign Ministers Radoslaw Sikorski and Jan Lipavsky, who had previously expressed their unwillingness to listen to Lavrov's speech during the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting.

Despite the EU sanctions, Lavrov is attending the OSCE ministerial meeting in Malta, his first trip to an EU country since the start of the full-scale invasion. He will also participate in the lunch on the first day of the meeting but will skip the dinner dedicated to discussing Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

It should be noted that during his speech, Andrii Sybiha emphasized that outside the OSCE hall, "Ukraine is bleeding, European, Indo-Pacific, and Middle Eastern security is collapsing, and the world is in chaos."

He emphasized that Russia seeks "a new Yalta or at least a third Minsk," as well as a world with zones of influence where the use of force sets new rules and changes borders. Ukraine, on the other hand, is fighting for a just peace and respect for principles that are equal for all.

"Russia is not a partner, it is the biggest threat to our common security. Russia's participation in the OSCE is a threat to cooperation in Europe. And it will remain so. Russia is deepening its cooperation with Iran and North Korea, interfering in Georgia, Moldova, the Western Balkans, and other states, and waging a hybrid war against Europe," the minister said.

Sybiha emphasized that a just peace is impossible without justice. He emphasized that as long as Russia violates the principles and commitments of the OSCE, the organization should remain a platform for holding it accountable.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha explained Kyiv's position on joining NATO during the war. He noted that Ukraine does not demand immediate membership, given the positions of individual NATO countries. Currently, there is no dialogue on the format of membership or the application of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty, as there should be an appropriate time for this.
