President of Poland meets with Trump in New York: they talked about the war in Ukraine and NATO spending. Video
Former US President Donald Trump held talks with Polish President Andrzej Duda in New York. The main topic of the dialogue was the Russian-Ukrainian war and NATO spending.
Trump and Duda also discussed the war between Israel and Hamas terrorists. This was reported by Politico.
Before the meeting, Trump told reporters in the lobby of Trump Tower that he had a great relationship with Duda during his presidency. He added that they would probably have to work together again.
"We had four great years together. We may have to do it again," Trump said.
At the same time, Trump's campaign provided little information about the meeting, but said that the politician discussed Duda's proposal that NATO countries increase defense spending to 3% of their gross domestic product. The day before, Duda said that Russia's imperialist ambitions and aggressive revisionism are pushing Moscow to a direct confrontation with NATO, so the Alliance must be prepared to confront this threat.
Trump also said that the politicians discussed Russia's war against Ukraine and the war between Israel and Hamas. However, no details or specific statements by Trump were made public by the campaign headquarters.
As a reminder, former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again made a strange statement - this time he said that if he were now President of the United States, Iran would not have attacked Israel.
Earlier, Trump had repeatedly claimed that if he were president of the United States, the aggressor state of Russia would not have dared to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He also said that the Hamas terrorist group would not have attacked Israel in the fall of 2023 if he had been in the Oval Office.
