President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg in Kyiv. The American arrived in Ukraine on February 19 and had time to talk to the head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak, and the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
According to the President's Office, the format of this meeting is a protocol meeting and does not include statements or questions. Therefore, the information about the press conference being canceled is not true.
During the Munich Conference, Zelenskyy mentioned that Kellogg’s visit would focus on further assessing the Russian invasion and exploring strong, truly peace-driven solutions from President Donald Trump.
Earlier, Speaker of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk met with Kellogg. They discussed a wide range of issues related to ending Russian aggression and achieving a just and lasting peace.
According to Stefanchuk, it is important to remember that Ukraine is a victim of aggression and Russia is the aggressor to comprehensively understand the situation and make responsible decisions.
"We did not start this war, but we are ready for its fair end," he said.
Stefanchuk also briefed the representative of the Donald Trump administration on the work of the Verkhovna Rada during the war, emphasizing that today MPs are making decisions that are extremely important for the state to strengthen defense, political unity, and social stability.
He is convinced that the United States and Trump will continue to show leadership in protecting the values for which Ukraine is fighting.
As OBOZ.UA reported, Kellogg arrived in Kyiv on the morning of February 19. He was met at the train station by the United States Ambassador Bridget Brink.
The American special envoy had time to talk to the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak. The parties discussed continued U.S. support for Ukraine and possible scenarios for how the war should end.
Kellogg also met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, and the heads of intelligence and special services.
In turn, Zelenskyy said that when Kellogg comes to our country, he wants to go to the front with him so that the American representative can see the situation in person and talk to the military and commanders.
