On the last Monday of May, 29, the United States celebrates Memorial Day, a national day of remembrance that honours American servicemen and women who have died in all wars and armed conflicts in which the United States has participated. On this day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the Americans in English with words of gratitude.

First of all, he paid tribute to the courage and sacrifice of all US citizens who stood up to defend and continue to defend freedom. "Freedom is based on the bravery of the best of their kind and the readiness of young men and women who serve their nation in the army to become the best of their kind and make their bravery the basis for the future of their nation," the guarantor said.

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukrainians will always be grateful to the United States and every American for their extraordinary support. It helps us win the fight for freedom and against the tyranny of the Russian Federation.

"My special gratitude on this Memorial Day goes to all Americans of different times: sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters who became warriors.
