A delegation of Armenia visited the town of Bucha in the Kyiv region, which was ravaged by the Russian occupiers. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs threw a tantrum in response to such a trip by their allies in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

The visit to Bucha, which took place on June 2, was reported on Facebook by the Armenian Embassy in Ukraine. It noted that the head of Yerevan's Nor Nork administrative district Tigran Ter-Margaryan and Armenian Ambassador to Ukraine Vladimir Karapetyan met with Bucha Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk.

"We are proud of the courage of the Ukrainian people and are always ready to support Bucha and other communities affected by the hostilities," Tigran Ter-Margaryan emphasized during the visit.

The delegation also handed over humanitarian aid in the form of medicines to the healthcare institutions of the Ukrainian side.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that this was an "openly unfriendly step," and the Russian Foreign Ministry sent a note of protest to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, responding to media questions about the assessment of the actions and statements of the Yerevan delegation in Ukraine.

"We regard the visit to Bucha by the head of the capital's Nor Norka administrative district Tigran Ter-Margaryan and the Armenian diplomatic mission, Vladimir Karapetyan, as an openly unfriendly step on the part of official Yerevan," Zakharova said.

She noted that the Russian Foreign Ministry had sent a note of protest to the Armenian Foreign Ministry over the country's transfer of aid to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the "unacceptable statements" about support for Ukraine voiced by the delegation.

"We did not expect anything else from such a figure as Tigran Ter-Margaryan, an ally of Aram Sargsyan, the head of the pro-Western Republican Party. It is a shame that the Armenian authorities are in solidarity with him," Zakharova said.
