There will be official visits: Zelenskyy says he will not travel to Saudi Arabia this week. Video
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has decided to postpone his visit to Saudi Arabia due to the talks between the United States and the aggressor country Russia and the presence of a Russian delegation there. This month's trip to the Kingdom will not take place.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during a press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on February 18. According to him, partners in Saudi Arabia have already been notified of the postponement of the visit.
Zelenskyy explained that he did not want any "coincidences" after today's meeting between the Russian and American delegations.
"We were not invited to a meeting in Saudi Arabia, I will not go there. I will be in Saudi Arabia on a visit on March 10. And we are expecting US representatives in Kyiv," Zelenskyy said, answering a journalist's question.
He added that he did not care who remained in Saudi Arabia at the time of his arrival in the country. But he does care "if our partners think something unnecessary about us."
"We are absolutely honest and open. I don't want any coincidences. That is why I will not go to Saudi Arabia. We have contacted our partners in Saudi Arabia and agreed that I will pay an official visit on March 10," the president said.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the United States and the terrorist country Russia agreed in Saudi Arabia to restore the staff of their embassies in Washington and Moscow. They also agreed to start working on improving diplomatic and economic ties and appoint representatives to hold "regular consultations" on Ukraine.
