"The only president who did not give Ukrainian land to Russia": Trump announces 'big night' in Congress
On the evening of March 4, US President Donald Trump will deliver his first address to Congress. He announced a "big night" and said that he was the only American president "who has not given any land in Ukraine to Putin's Russia."
According to the White House, Trump's address to Congress will begin on Tuesday evening, at 21:00 EST (4:00 on Wednesday, March 5, Kyiv time). "You don't want to miss this!" the message reads.
At the same time, Trump himself, commenting on the event on his social network Truth Social, announced a "big night."
"Tomorrow night is going to be a big night. I'll tell it like it is," he wrote.
The American leader also said that "the only president who has not given any land of Ukraine to Putin's Russia is President Donald Trump."
"Remember this when weak and ineffective Democrats criticize and Fake News gladly puts out anything they say!" he wrote.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, after the summit of European leaders in London on March 2, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he would meet with Trump if it comes to "solving real problems." According to the Ukrainian leader, Kyiv is ready to accept the fossil fuel agreement, which failed to be signed on Friday due to a dispute with Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance at the White House.
Trump's National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, in turn, said that the US president is open to resuming negotiations with Zelenskyy, including on the minerals deal. However, the Trump administration believes this is possible only if the Ukrainian president "changes his position." According to Waltz, Ukraine needs to start peace talks, as Americans' patience is not unlimited, and "wallets are not unlimited."
