Sybiha: Ukrainian people and president refused to succumb to Putin's pressure

Ukraine will continue its fight against Russian aggression. This will happen despite any external pressure.

This statement was made by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on Twitter. The diplomat emphasized that both the Ukrainian people and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy refused to succumb to the pressure of the Russian dictator.

"The Ukrainian people and their president refused to give in to Putin's pressure. No one can force us to surrender. We will defend our right to exist," the Foreign Minister added.

Sybiha reminded that Ukraine has been in an all-out war for three years and has withstood "the worst military attack in the modern history of Europe."

Earlier, US President Donald Trump made another loud statement about Ukraine, accusing Volodymyr Zelenskyy of "luring" $350 billion from the United States for the war. He said that the Ukrainian leader "played like a fiddle" on former President Joe Biden.

The day before, Trump made several statements that shed light on his real perception of the Russian-Ukrainian war. While talking to journalists, he shifted the responsibility for the Russian invasion from the aggressor to the victim, saying that Zelenskyy should not have started the war, and Russia wants to stop it.

Trump could not resist curtsying to the Kremlin either. He claimed that the Russians were only attacking at 20% strength and that Russia could have destroyed Ukraine quickly if it wanted to.

At the same time, Trump criticized Europe and Ukraine for allegedly dragging out the war with Russia.
