"Russian occupation brings violence and humiliation": Zelenskyy promises not to leave anyone in Russian captivity. Video
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine cannot leave any of its people, cities and villages in Russian captivity. He emphasised that violence and humiliation prevail wherever the occupation has come.
The Head of State said this in his video address released on 15 July. "One of the worst things that war brings is division... We cannot leave any of our people, any town or village in Russian captivity. Wherever the Russian occupation comes, violence and humiliation of people prevail," he said (video is available at the bottom of the news).
Zelenskyy also thanked all the partners who support Ukraine in the belief that only the complete liberation of its entire territory will allow the international order to return to full force.
"Marines of the 35th and 36th separate brigades. Artillerymen of the 55th separate brigade 'Zaporizhzhia Sich'. 47th separate mechanised brigade 'Magura'. Paratroopers of the 79th Airborne Brigade. The 3rd separate assault brigade. 80th separate airborne brigade. 57th separate motorised infantry brigade. I thank all of you! You are all just great! All of you who are fighting bravely, steadfastly and hard for Ukraine! Ukraine will definitely win!" - the President assured.
At the same time, Zelenskyy called today's visit of the South Korean President to Kyiv very important and meaningful:
"This is a very important visit, a very important direction of our international work. ...Now, when the speed of ending the war directly depends on global support for Ukraine, we are doing everything possible to make such support as intensive and meaningful as possible."
The Head of State promised to maintain "the highest pace of international work at all levels" to restore peace for the whole country.
