Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that Russia is allegedly ready for compromises in the event of negotiations to end the war against Ukraine. He once again cynically accused Kyiv of disrupting the diplomatic process.

Putin made the statement on December 19 during his annual press conference, known as the "Direct Line." American journalist Keir Hardie Brennan-Simmons, who attended the event on behalf of NBC, asked the dictator whether he was personally ready to compromise in the negotiations.

"Are you ready to somehow compromise on Kyiv? You said that Ukraine should compromise. And you – are you ready to compromise? What are you ready to offer as concessions in possible negotiations?" the journalist asked.

In response, Putin said that "politics is the art of compromise."

"And we have always said that we are ready for negotiations and compromises, it's just that the opposite side, literally and figuratively, refused to negotiate. And we are always ready for that. Negotiations always result in compromises," the dictator said.

Putin did not specify what compromises he was willing to make.

He also once again mentioned the talks in Istanbul in the spring of 2022, which provided for the reduction of Ukraine's army to 85,000 people, the rejection of Western weapons, NATO membership, security guarantees, the impossibility of helping Ukraine without Moscow's permission, and so on.

The war criminal blamed the disruption on former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who allegedly, as Putin put it, "said to fight to the last Ukrainian," and now, according to the dictator, "Ukrainians are fighting and running out."

As OBOZ.UA reported, on the same "Direct Line" Putin cynically spoke about the war against Ukraine, calling it a "movement." The internationally wanted war criminal said that he wanted to "move" when he was "bored."

In addition, the Kremlin dictator boasted of the hypersonic "Oreshnik" missile, which is allegedly "impossible to shoot down," and offered the West a "duel" with a strike on Kyiv.
