"One less terrorist": Zelensky said that Ukraine has information that Putin killed Prigozhin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Kyiv has information that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was involved in the assassination of the owner of the Wagner PMC Yevheny Prigozhin. According to him, there is one less terrorist and the morale of Russians after his death has decreased.

"Putin has deflated both as a person and as a politician. He killed Prigozhin; at least that's the information we have. Ukrainians had no mourning days when the world lost Prigozhin. There is one less terrorist for us," the head of state said at the Yalta summit in Kyiv.

Zelensky added that Ukraine benefited from the elimination of Prigozhin, as the Russians lost a valuable resource (Wagner soldiers) who were sent forward to the frontline for slaughter.

"The morale of the Russians decreased because they covered themselves with the PMC and were thrown forward. They can not go back. I think that they lost this defense of covering themselves with the lives of the Wagner mercenaries. It is a plus for us for sure," the President said.

On August 25, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called publications of Western media about the involvement of the Russian authorities in the shooting down of the Prigozhin's plane "lies" and "speculations".

On August 24, commenting on Prigozhin's death, Putin himself called him a man of complicated fate and said that he had known him since the late 90s. The president of the aggressor country also promised that the investigation would be brought to an end.

On September 1, Putin made an unannounced visit to Russia's Tver region, where Prigozhin's plane crashed. Peskov said that the head of the Kremlin allegedly decided to visit the "places of ancestors".
