"No one in Ukraine believes Putin": Zelensky tells how many Ukrainians support concessions to Russia. Video
Ukrainians do not trust the Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin and are not ready to accept all the concessions that Russia wants from us. Keith Kellogg, the US President's Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, who arrived in Kyiv on February 19, should take to the streets and ask people about this.
This statement was made by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference on Wednesday, February 19. He emphasized that the opinion of the people of our country should be taken into account first and foremost.
"It seems to me that we should first of all look at what the people who are fighting this enemy think about it? To make all the concessions to Russia? This is supported by 1% of the population. This is the answer to everything.
You can't do this, they are guilty, you can't launder them [Russians] like money - you can't launder them, just like you launder dirty money, dirty people. It is simply impossible. Because no one will believe you. It seems that it can be solved by some agreements, documents, etc. But it is impossible. No one in Ukraine believes Putin," Zelensky emphasized.
He added that today (February 19), Kellogg will be able to familiarize himself with the ratings that interest American partners.
"It is very important for me that he walks around Kyiv and other cities... I want him to talk to people: do they trust their president, do they trust Putin. Let him ask them about [Donald] Trump: what they think after such statements..." Zelensky advised.
He called such a dialog with people very important. "We don't want to take him anywhere. Let him choose... It is very important to understand what is happening live. And then, as I said, I am ready to go to the front with him. I will go with him! And let him talk to the military there," the president said.
He advised Kellogg to ask the defenders of Ukraine whether they are ready to drop everything and vote immediately without any security guarantees for their country. "Well, let him ask them, the people who live and fight here," Zelensky said.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Donald Trump's special envoy Keith Kellogg arrived in Kyiv on the morning of February 19. He was met at the train station by the United States Ambassador Bridget Brink.
