Mariana Bezuhla has left the Servant of the People faction
On July 17, MP Mariana Bezuhla resigned from the Servant of the People party on her own request.
"It has just been reported that Ms. Bezuhla has left the Servant of the People faction at her own request," MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak said on his Telegram channel.
According to the MP, there are now officially 234 MPs left in the Servant of the People party.
Bezuhla explained her decision by saying that she "does not understand" the priorities of her colleagues from the National Security and Defense Committee.
She also accused the faction's members of "sneakily" uniting with the opposition to sabotage the process.
"Taking into account the above situation, I no longer have the moral strength to associate myself with the faction, even formally. I have sent a letter of resignation from the Servant of the People parliamentary faction. It is final. The statement should be read out this week," she said on Facebook.
As a reminder, Bezuhla has already submitted a letter of resignation from the faction in February.
In addition, Bezuhla noted that she still has the status of MP, so she is "still protected and the only one who dared to systematically criticize the military leadership and voice the problems that all military personnel in combat units already know, but which are not being corrected."
"These are not the 'military' who are engaged in sycophancy on social media, whose uniforms have to be changed to a larger size... These are ordinary guys and girls who are dying. They die every day. And now imagine what happens to those who dare to disagree with the Armed Forces system. Just point out the error. Task 200. Do not discredit the Armed Forces!" she wrote.
As a reminder, Bezuhla has already applied to leave the faction. In February, she was expelled from the Servant of the People party.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Bezuhla was recently recalled from the post of head of the parliamentary subcommittee on democratic civilian control. She stated that this was a response "to the truth about the problems in the Armed Forces and the military's appeals."
Earlier, Bezuhla filed a complaint with the State Bureau of Investigation against the chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi. She accused him of obstructing her parliamentary activities.
This was not Bezuhla's first criticism of the military leadership. Earlier, she demanded the resignation of the then chief of the army, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, for allegedly failing to provide a war plan for 2024, which caused outrage among the public.
