President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacted quite harshly to the accusations of US "journalist" Tucker Carlson of "killing political opponents" in Ukraine. He advised the American to stop working for Putin and licking his ass.
This was the Ukrainian leader's response to a question from British journalist Piers Morgan. A week ago, in an interview with Morgan, Carlson called Zelensky a dictator and accused him of politically motivated killings.
"Unfortunately, this blogger or journalist (as he calls himself) completely repeats Putin's words. He works for Putin and wants to bring me down to Putin's level," Zelensky explained the American's words.
The Ukrainian leader noted that the said American does not understand the Ukrainian present at all.
"It seems to me that he needs to understand more deeply what is happening in Ukraine, stop working for Putin, stop licking his ass," Zelensky said.
According to the Ukrainian leader, Carlson deliberately misinforms people and repeats the Kremlin's narratives.
Speaking about the "repression of the opposition" that Carlson described, Zelensky reminded that Viktor Medvedchuk is a relative of Putin and it was through him that ultimatums were delivered to the Ukrainian authorities at the beginning of the war. But this was not the reason for the politician's murder.
"Nobody killed Medvedchuk. He was arrested by the SBU, and eventually we exchanged him for (200 captured) Ukrainian soldiers. So I don't know what opponents he is talking about. The entire opposition (since) I became president has been in the Ukrainian parliament. And even this party, which is associated with Medvedchuk, is there," the President of Ukraine explained.
