The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, arrived in Kyiv on October 1 to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky. The politicians took part in an official ceremony to honor the memory of all the defenders of Ukraine who gave their lives in the treacherous war.
Borrell was also accompanied by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. The guest from Kyiv wrote about this on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
"I express my support for those who are now defending Ukraine from Russia's unjustified aggression and fighting for our common values," Borrell said.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Borrell criticized Western partners for delaying military aid to the Ukrainian army. The price of this delay is too high, and the politician believes that it is necessary to return to the previous pace that was announced in the first months after the start of the full-scale invasion.
