His family and friends took part in the creation of the heartwarming, patriotic and socially important film, which was premiered by representatives of the contemporary Ukrainian scene and beyond.

On this occasion, OBOZ.UA decided to tell interesting facts about the movie and collect comments from the stars about their impressions. This is one of those cases when it is difficult to find negative reviews about a movie online.

What the movie is about

Nazarii Yaremchuk is called the first pop star of the Ukrainian scene who changed the way millions of people viewed Ukrainian songs. What thoughts haunted the singer? The answer to this question was provided by the star's family, who found his diaries and letters.

Those who knew the singer during his lifetime, including members of the Smerichka vocal group, shared their memories and shed light on some episodes of Nazariy Yaremchuk's life.

Premiere and reaction

The pre-premiere screening of the biopic took place in Kyiv on August 6. It was attended by the people involved in the film's creation, film actors and showbiz stars. Volodymyr  Dantes, Oleksandr Ponomariov, Kola, Sviat Zagaikevich, Anton Tymoshenko, Yevgenii Yanovich, Pianoboy and others were spotted in the audience.

The show was a success, and some of the stars shared their impressions with Suspilne.

"I cried and laughed. In the movie Yaremchuk: An Incomparable World of Beauty" I saw not only an artist, but a person and a soul. Nazariy is proud of his daughter from heaven," said director and clip maker German Nenov.

"This movie inspired me to believe in myself, to work even harder, to immerse myself even more in creativity and to always remain modest," Kola shared.

Nazariy Yaremchuk's children

Although the idea to make this film belongs to Maria Yaremchuk, who is also the film's producer, she did not appear at the premiere. Instead, the audience was shown an address by the new mother.

Interestingly, Yaremchuk's older sons, Dmytro and Nazarii, were contacted during the making of the film. As they told OBOZ.UA, at first Maria offered them to appear in the film, which was refused, but later Dmytro and Nazariy met with the film crew.

The producer of the film Yaremchuk: The Incomparable World of Beauty" producer Maksym Serdiuk said: "We met with the sons of Yaremchuk and worked out the story. Of course, we wanted to film them, but they refused. Why they refused is more of a question for them. But the story we made has not changed. I think it remains the same, but without the participation of Yaremchuk's sons."

Maria Yaremchuk had a taboo about covering the topic of her father's first marriage. She believes that there is enough drama in this story for another full-length movie.

"My only specific request was that we not touch on the dramatic aspects of my father's first marriage and his first family. Because this story could be another movie," she says.

Interesting facts

The singer's daughter also admitted in an interview that she had contacted Sophia Rotaru and invited her to take part in the film, but the star refused without explaining the reason.

The film did not include a fragment with Pavlo Dvorsky's story about how they performed in Laos and a huge poisonous spider crawled on stage. Then a security guard with a machine gun ran out to help the artists, frightening the stars.

Nazarii Yaremchuk could have been followed by people from the KGB (the USSR State Security Committee - ed.).

"My mom told me that when my father died, a man who was assigned to my father came up to her and said: "I know everything about your husband." Perhaps to inform her that his mission was already completed. This still needs to be studied," said Maria Yaremchuk.
