Models such as the Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, Honda CR-V, and Toyota Corolla account for 15% of all thefts. Approximately 1 million cars were stolen in the United States in 2020. This is 8% higher than in 2019, which is explained by the rise in used car prices.

NICB experts recommend that you always lock your doors, close the windows, and do not leave valuables in the car while parked. You should not leave a running car unattended, and it is also recommended to keep the key fob as far away from the car as possible when not in use.
