What is the difference between furries and quadrobists?

Members of the furry subculture create images of animals but do not imitate their behavior. This is what distinguishes them from quadrobers, who imitate various animal sounds and movements.

In particular, furries do not favor any particular animal and can combine features of several creatures. For example, children's images may include a wolf dog, a wolf fox, a fox cat, etc. OBOZ.UA has collected information on who furries are and how to distinguish them from quadrobists.

Thus, furries create their images using nature motifs and identifying themselves with certain characters, but they do not consider themselves to be the embodiment of animals, unlike quadrobists. After all, representatives of this subculture imitate the movements, imitation of sounds, and other behaviors of animals.

At the same time, trucks have their own jargon, according to Zaborona media outlet. In particular, among the popular words:

  • brownies – fans of My Little Pony toys, TV series and movies;
  • Therian – someone who identifies as an animal;
  • babyfur – anthropomorphized animal children are created;
  • milfurs (military furries) – members of the so-called furry defense forces, who in real life may be real military personnel or play this role to "protect" the community;
  • fursuitists – people who like costumes.

In addition, one of the peculiarities of the furries is that they make their own costumes or order them from craftsmen.

In an interview with 1+1 Breakfast, one of the representatives of the furry subculture, Nika, said that quadrobics helps relieve stress. In addition, she notes that quadrobists are often confused with members of other movements, while representatives of this subculture pay more attention to sports, games, and choreography.
