Consumer Reports' Used Car Reliability Rankings show that Lexus and Toyota top the list of brands with the fewest problems in models aged 5 to 10 years. Mazda ranks third, while Honda and Acura round out the top 5. Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler are the least reliable.

Experts explain that the stability of the leaders is due to the gradual improvement of models and the lack of significant changes in technology. Older models often remain reliable, even over time.

The analysis uses data on problems reported by owners. This approach takes into account that the reliability of older cars may differ from newer ones due to the use of different components and changes in the brand portfolio.

Consumer Reports has compiled a list of the best used cars:

Chevrolet Cruze (2016-2019 generation)

The car is characterized by a comfortable ride, a relatively spacious interior, and lightweight power from a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It is a competitive home car that has heated seats and keyless entry. In addition, it received rear side airbags, bringing the total number of airbags to 10.

Kia Sportage (2017-2022 generation)
