Ukrainian football player went crazy during the First League match, attacking the referee

The scandalous episode took place in Horishni Plavni in the 15th round of the First League match between the local team Girnyk-Sport and Dinaz from Vyshhorod. In the second half, the visitors' striker Viacheslav Shevchenko hit the head referee Vasyl Faida.

In the 60th minute, with the score 0-1 in favor of Shakhtar, Shevchenko, dissatisfied with the work of the Lviv referee, began to express his complaints to him, for which he received a warning. The footballer did not calm down and continued to behave inadequately. Faida gave him a red 4 minutes later.

This made Shevchenko so angry that he lashed out at the referee, hitting him in the chest with his head.

Players from both teams rushed to the referee's defense, dragging the attacker away. He did not leave the field on the first attempt, repeatedly trying to return to Faida and continue the showdown.

The match ended with a score of 2-0. Oleksandr Podrezan scored the second goal in the 85th minute.

The 38-year-old Shevchenko is a product of Kherson football. His career flourished in 2008 when he joined Stal. Viacheslav played 68 matches in the Alchevsk club's uniform, scoring 19 goals in 2 years.

In early 2011, he arrived at Luhansk's Zorya, but eventually joined Oleksandriia for $120,000, with whom he became the First League champion Viacheslav played 67 matches (21 goals) in 2 seasons.
