Ukraine will be covered with Saharan dust again: meteorologist names the date

Ukraine will again be affected by dust brought from Africa

This weekend, on April 6 and 7, warm air from northern Africa will return to Europe, bringing with it fine dust from the Sahara. It will cover Ukraine for the second time.

This was reported by BFMTV meteorologist Guillaume Cechet. According to him, African dust will reach the northwestern part of Ukraine on April 7.

Cechet showed a map showing that on April 7, dust from Africa will again cover Western Europe – the Czech Republic, Poland, partially Slovakia, and the northwestern part of Ukraine.

"With such a dynamic southerly flow coming directly from Africa, the return of the sand seems inevitable," he wrote.

Depending on the weather conditions, sand in the sky and deposits on cars can be more or less visible. A large amount of dust can "weaken the sun's rays and contribute to the formation of a dense curtain of clouds, which is likely to slow down the temperature rise," the meteorologist says.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

– On April 2, several regions of Ukraine observed an unusual natural phenomenon – dust from the Sahara in the air. Gusts of strong winds, which also raged on Tuesday in all regions except the eastern ones, carried dust and sand at a frantic speed.

– Dust from the Sahara can be dangerous for people with respiratory diseases, as well as for children and the elderly.
