Kyivstar subscribers will experience communication problems for another 4-5 hours. Thus, the network is expected to be restored at around 16.00-17.00 on December 12.

This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov. He noted that repairs are currently underway.

"We hope to return to work in a few hours," he said. He emphasized that the repair work may take 4-5 hours.

You can keep in touch through the police

For his part, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reminded that neither Kyivstar's telephone nor Internet service is working due to the failure. However, emergency numbers are working as usual. These are, in particular:

• 101 - fire department;
• 102 - police;
• 112 - emergency service.

In addition, he noted, to contact or call emergency services, you can turn to the nearest police department or fire and rescue unit. "You can also ask for help from the National Guard, police and border guards who are on duty in settlements and on the roads," the minister said.

In addition, he noted, Ukrainians have the opportunity to use Wi-Fi at the Points of Invincibility.

Why you can't connect to another operator through national roaming

For its part, the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported that the connection problem also affected other services, such as national roaming. Therefore, Kyivstar customers will not be able to connect to other operators, they said.

As reported, the failure in Kyivstar's network will partially affect the operation of some terminals and ATMs of PryvatBank. However, it will not interfere with the operation of the entire network.
