That's why analysts believe that it's better to wait a bit and spend money in the fall of 2025 on the future iPhone 17.

Revolutionary iPhone 17 design

Apple is working on a significant design update for the iPhone 17, which could be the biggest since the release of the iPhone X in 2017. The main new feature is the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Slim or Air. According to preliminary reports, the device could be significantly less thick than current iPhones, making it one of the thinnest smartphones on the market.

It's also likely that the iPhone 17 Slim will have a display of about 6.6 inches, putting it between the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro in terms of dimensions.

Technological improvements

All iPhone 17 models are expected to feature ProMotion-enabled displays with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz for smoother scrolling and improved video content viewing. Apple also plans to add anti-reflective coating to the screens, making them more resistant to scratches and wear and tear.

As for performance, iPhone 17 models are expected to be equipped with new A19 series processors, which will be built using 3-nanometer process technology. This will provide faster device performance and improved power efficiency.

The higher-end models will get 12GB of RAM, while the standard models will have 8GB.

Camera update

Apple only focused on improving the rear camera in the 2024, and the iPhone 17 will see changes to the front camera as well. All 2025 flagships are expected to have a 24-megapixel front camera with a six-element lens. More megapixels will provide more detail and clarity in images during framing.
