On Thursday, December 12, a wave of anonymous bomb threats swept across Ukraine, triggering massive inspections at facilities across the country. Anonymous emails were sent to the email addresses of government agencies, local governments, educational institutions, businesses, and other facilities across the country.

This was reported to OBOZ.UA by the press service of the National Police. Law enforcement officers have already checked more than 70% of the objects specified in the messages.

"Today, at 9 am, state authorities, local governments, educational institutions, enterprises, institutions, and other facilities began to receive reports of mining of their buildings. As of this hour, the National Police has processed more than 70% of such reports," said the National Police spokeswoman.

No explosive devices have been found, but inspections are still ongoing at several locations.

The National Police notes that this is not the first case of mass mining. Over the years, law enforcement officers have developed a clear algorithm for responding to such situations.

Law enforcement officials urge citizens to remain calm and, if necessary, leave the premises, keeping a safe distance.

The police suspect that mass mining is part of a hybrid war waged by the enemy. Information and psychological operations are aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country and creating panic among the population.

"So we urge citizens to be careful, not to panic and immediately leave the building to a safe distance. It is possible that in this way the enemy is trying to destabilize the situation, using PSYOPs and thus waging a hybrid war. However, the police have enough forces and means to check each such mined object," the law enforcement officers said.

As a reminder, a wave of reports of mines in Ukraine was reported on November 26 in at least 13 regions. Numerous government agencies, educational institutions, and hospitals received information about the potential danger.
