The fight turned out to be ultra-fast

Russian fighter of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Ikram Aliskerov (15-2) suffered a crushing defeat at the UFC on ABC 6 tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 31-year-old native of Kasumkent (a village in Dagestan), who is a four-time world combat sambo champion and two-time European champion, was knocked out by Australian Robert Whittaker (26-7) without a chance.

The 5-round middleweight bout turned out to be very fast-paced. From the first minutes, the former champion completely dominated the octagon, breaking through the Russian's defense every time.

The denouement came in a minute and a half of the first round. Whittaker landed a powerful right straight that visibly shook Aliskerov.

The 33-year-old rushed in for the kill and sent his opponent to the canvas with a powerful uppercut.

Originally, Whittaker was supposed to fight Chechen fighter Hamzat Chimayev, who represented the UAE. But Chimayev was hospitalized, so the UFC replaced him with Aliskerov.
