Russian troops attacked Kherson from the air

On Thursday, January 9, the aggressor country attacked Kherson again. The city's 39 buildings were damaged and many people were injured.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration. The police said that the enemy dropped four bombs on the regional center. Law enforcement officers are currently documenting the consequences of the air strike.

"Today at about 11 am, Russian troops launched an air strike on Kherson. As a result of the attack, nine local residents sustained injuries of varying severity. These are four women aged 44 to 82 and five men aged 38 to 67. The wounded are being provided with the necessary medical care," the police said in a statement.

Law enforcement officials add that the bombs fell on private homes, a kindergarten, a factory, and a maintenance station. Also, 39 residential buildings and a building of a higher education institution were damaged.

Police investigative teams and explosives experts, patrol police, rescuers, and medics were working at the sites of the attacks.

Details of the enemy attack from the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin:

– We know about an 85-year-old woman who was taken out of the rubble of a destroyed house. She suffered an explosive injury and contusion. The victim is currently in hospital;

– An ambulance crew brought to the hospital a 52-year-old man who had received an explosive injury and a bruise to his face;

– Another victim, a 62-year-old resident of Kherson, was treated on the spot. He was diagnosed with an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to his arm;

– An ambulance brought to the hospital a 51-year-old man who suffered an explosive injury and contusion;

– Two more victims – a 63-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man – were treated on the spot. They also suffered blast injuries and contusions.

– Another woman who was injured in a Russian air strike on Kherson also needed medical assistance. The 65-year-old victim was diagnosed with blast trauma and contusion. Doctors treated her on the spot.

The day before, on January 8, the troops of the aggressor country Russia attacked the industrial infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia with two multiple rocket launchers at about 4 p.m., public transport and residential buildings also came under fire. A series of explosions occurred in the city. The strike killed 13 people and injured 116, including a child.
