At some checkpoints on the border between Ukraine and Poland, there was a large number of cars entering the country through the Lviv region. The reason is an increase in passenger traffic due to the Christmas holidays.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service. They noted that the queues formed at the following checkpoints:

  • "Korchova";
  • "Medyka."

"At the entrance to Ukraine from Poland, queues were recorded in front of the "Korchova" and "Medyka" checkpoints. We recommend choosing less busy checkpoints nearby to reduce waiting time. The pre-Christmas period has led to a 25% increase in passenger traffic at the checkpoints in Lviv region, which complicates traffic," the statement said.
