Not from Dubois and not in the heavyweight division: The media found out who Usyk can fight

"Badou Jack (28-3-3, 17 KOs), the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion on vacation, may become the next opponent of Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs). At the same time, the fight is being prepared in the cruiserweight division, the return to which was previously announced by the Ukrainian athlete himself.

This was reported by World Boxing News, citing its own sources. Jack was supposed to fight in the interim cruiserweight division with Canadian Ryan Rozycki (20-1-1, 19 KOs). However, now the representatives of the Swedish boxer want to ask the WBC for permission to fight Usyk, having agreed that the North American would agree to wait for the opportunity to fight for the title.

The Ripper, as Jack is known, wants to avenge his loss to Usyk at the 2006 European Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The 41-year-old boxer also dreams of fighting the Ukrainian after he became the absolute world champion in two weight categories.

At the same time, Usyk has already been challenged by Daniel DuBois, the holder of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight belt. The Briton is looking forward to a rematch with our compatriot after his defeat in August 2023. Back then, Oleksandr defeated his opponent by technical knockout in the ninth round, and the Londoner scored with a dirty punch below the belt.

Manager Aegis Klimas told us when Oleksandr plans to return to the ring. Artificial intelligence has already made a forecast for the Ukrainian's fight.

Earlier it became known that Usyk may give up one of the championship belts for the sake of returning to the ring of the legendary Wladimir Klitschko (64-5-0-1, 54 KOs).
