Mudryk scored a goal in the last seconds and carried Chelsea into the semi-finals of the English League Cup

Chelsea's Ukrainian midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk scored his third goal for the London club. The 22-year-old player of the Ukrainian national team came on as a substitute in the 78th minute in the quarterfinal match of the English Football League Cup against Newcastle and, 14 minutes later, equalized the score (1:1).

Subsequently, the game went to a penalty shootout, where Chelsea players were more confident in their penalty attempts. The Ukrainian also successfully converted his penalty. Newcastle's Kieran Trippier missed the goal, and Matt Ritchie's final shot was saved by the goalkeeper.

The draw for the semifinals will take place on December 20 after the last quarterfinal match between Liverpool and West Ham.
