Fernandes scored a goal for Liverpool

Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes became one of the heroes of the classic English football match between Manchester United and Liverpool. The Red Devils player equalized in the match of the 32nd round of the Premier League with a phenomenal shot from almost the center of the field.

The meeting took place the day before at Old Trafford Stadium, where the home team simply failed in the first half. Liverpool opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, while United's players failed to score a single shot on goal before the break.

The beginning of the second half was confusing for the visitors. At one point, defender Jarell Quanza made a sloppy cross to his partner. Fernandes took advantage of this mistake.

The Portuguese United international saw that the opposition goalkeeper had come out of the box, hoping to play his defenders. Bruno assessed the situation in a split second and, with one touch, intercepted the ball and sent it exactly into the corner from 50 meters.

Interestingly, after this goal, the hosts took the lead after a great strike by Cobbi Mayne. The denouement came in the 83rd minute, when United broke the rules in their penalty area, and Mohamed Salah converted the penalty kick - 2-2.

Liverpool have gained a point to equalize with London's Arsenal in the standings, but are behind them in terms of goal difference.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Ukraine's goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin conceded a goal in the 49th second of the Portuguese championship derby between Benfica and Porto.
