Low-cost Skoda model for families shown on the road in a powerful performance
The premiere of the 2nd generation Skoda Kodiaq RS has already taken place. The inexpensive crossover for families has received the most powerful version with the VW Golf GTI engine. The novelty was shown on the road during testing.
The new Skoda Kodiaq RS crossover for the 2025 model year is shown by CarSpyMedia. Despite the fact that the design and technical specifications of the car have been officially declassified, pre-production copies continue to be tested to perfect the design before production.
The sporty crossover differs from the standard car by its more aggressive bumper design and unique wheels. Under the hood is a 261 hp Volkswagen Golf GTI engine.
The engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission as part of an all-wheel drive system. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 6.3 seconds, and the top speed is 232 km/h. There is a choice of configurations with a cabin for 5 or 7 seats. The interior of the Skoda Kodiaq RS has new trim and sports seats.
Previously, the standard 2nd generation Skoda Kodiaq crossover entered the production line. The model has changed a lot, becoming larger and more brutal in appearance. This is facilitated by the new design of the Skoda Kodiaq, which distances the car from its predecessor.
The car received different powerplants: 1.5-liter (148 hp), 2.0-liter (201 hp) and 2.0-liter diesel engines (148 and 190 hp). Also, for the first time in the lineup, a hybrid Skoda Kodiaq with a 201 hp powerplant appeared. Such a crossover can travel up to 100 km exclusively on electric power.
