Famous Ukrainian boxer gets into a dispute with American champion

The IBF and IBO lightweight titles holder Vasyl Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs) has made a scandal of himself with WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson (22-0, 10 KOs). The Ukrainian and the American clashed in Los Angeles (USA), where a large-scale boxing night from the Riyadh Season series took place.

Lomachenko offered Shakur to come out of the gym and fight right away. The American boxer agreed. After that, they were separated by security guards.

Later, in an interview with DAZN, Lomachenko said that Stevenson just wanted money.

"He asked me about the fight. He wants to use my name to make money. That's all," Vasyl said.

Loma added that when he returns to the ring, he sees Shakur as his closest opponent and is going to fight him.

It should be noted that the main event of the event was the fight of the WBA world champion in the first middleweight Israel Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs) from Uzbekistan with one of the leaders of the P4P rating, American Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs). The fight ended with Crawford winning on points (116-112, 115-113 and 115-113).

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on July 20, Vasyl's manager Aegis Klimas said that his client was not ready to fight in the near future and would not enter the ring until the end of the year.

On May 12, Lomachenko defeated George Kambosos (21-3, 10 KOs) to win the vacant world title according to the International Boxing Federation (IBF).
